NetNewsWire is the desktop rss feed reader I’ve been using for years. It’s great. Supports nested folders etc, and syncs to their central servers so you can run multiple copies on different machines and see the same information (read states etc). Wonderful.
In a fit of stupidity, they’re changing this to sync against Google Reader.
Google Reader isn’t as full featured a platform as the NNW is, so they’re having to overload some features to provide _some_ support.
The initial upgrade path wiped all my nested folders. Top-level folders are fine, but nested ones are gone.
Not how to ingratiate yourself with your users. I may now be looking for an alternative reader.
