It was decided that the last two days would be spent by the pool/sea, as it’s relaxing, and Zachary has a ball bouncing around everywhere (clarification: he doesn’t have a physical bouncy ball which bounces around everywhere, he has a really good time bouncing everywhere). Opening the curtain this morning, we were greeted by a grey sky. Damn.
Still, on with the plans, breakfast was the usual fare – cereal, fruit, pain au chocolat – (I can’t understand how they get away with charging £10 pp for this!), but it fills a spot.
I seem to be acclimatizing to Mexico, it must be 25 degrees at least, but I’m cold. God knows how I’ll be back home.
Today was also a day of firsts:
1) I started reading my first Terry Pratchett book – Monstrous Regiment. I’m enjoying it immensely, I should have started reading this stuff years ago. I’ll start from book 1 of the Discworld series after this.
2) I ate sushi. It was ok, tasted like fish.
It also ended in a bit of a down note: Zachary had an almighty strop, and I was not at all tolerant and lost my temper. I refuse to let a 2 year old get the better of me, but unfortunately, it’s not working, and I feel I’m losing the battle.
Zachary went to bed at 10pm, far too late. What’s the betting he wakes at stupid-o-clock?

Terry Pratchett is usually a lot of fun. I don’t recommend plunging headlong through the Discworld series, though, necessarily. I find I appreciate his stuff more when I take breaks from it.
