I have a generic brand (Eltax) DVD player, which does HDMI upscaling and has HDMI/component/Scart etc out, available to anyone who’s prepared to collect it either from Orpington or Piccadilly within the next few weeks, else it goes in the bin (due to law changes, charity shops won’t accept electrical stuff).
It works well, but I’ve upgraded to blu-ray and it’s just taking up space. Let me know in the comments.

The weather in Austin is similar to what it was in London when I left. It sucks. I brought shorts with me and it’s looking like I can’t treat everyone to the view of my legs :(
My friend Kala came to visit. She arrived on Tuesday evening and I’ve just dropped her to the airport. When I wasn’t working, we spent our time catching up on what’s happened in the last three years (the last time we saw each other). We ran out of time, unfortunately. We’re going to continue the next time I’m over or something.
Now I’m feeling a little sad. I’ve enjoyed having company, it’s distracted me from missing Emma and Zachary too much, but now I’m alone with my thoughts again and I want to come home.
