Today I went to a shooting range and I used a revolver and an AR-15 Assault Rifle. I’m feeling particularly manly right now.
I was complimented in my accuracy too. I guess all those years playing Quake type games paid off.
Time to sort out some dinner plans.
I’m watching ‘Dirty Sanchez – The Movie’ and despite only being 30 mins into the file, I’ve already heaved on 4 separate occasions.
These people are truly disgusting.
After nearly 12 hours in a plane and a very long day, I’ve arrived at my destination.
I thought I’d quickly go out to eat and then sleep, but upon returning to my hotel to get something, I’m overcome with tiredness. I think eating will have to be delayed until tomorrow.
Bath.
Bed.
Night.
I’m missing Emma and Zachary. Zachary wanted me to feed him dinner. I nearly cried.
So today, while wandering around in Bromley, a guy made a beeline towards me and started asking questions about my shopping habits and about whether Emma likes what I wear etc.
He’s going to call me on Monday (I initially said, ‘No.’, but he gave me his card anyway), but basically he’s the producer of a show with Trinny and Susannah (of ‘What Not To Wear’ fame) and he was wondering if I’d be interested in going on it for a make over.
I’m over my ‘No’, and am now thinking that it could be quite good fun. Whaddya think? Should I?
Guess who’s going to see the Artist-Formally-Known-As-Prince-Then-Known-As-A-Symbol-Now-Known-Again-As-Prince at the O2 Arena?
Us, woohoo!
I managed first off to get 4 tickets in the upper tier and then 4 ticks in the lower tier, much closer to the stage. I’m ebaying at least two of the upper tier ones.
Nadnad and Needler will be joining us. I’m quite excited :)
Last weekend, for the first time in a long long time, I did no work At all. I spent the whole weekend relaxing with Emma and Zachary and enjoying myself.
Pity about the weather, but you can’t have everything.
I’m off to Austin on Tuesday. There’s lots of new people in the company for me to meet, and I’ll be working on getting systems ready for Euronext trading. It’s looking like it’ll be a very busy week for me, which is good as it’ll make the time pass quicker.
This weekend I went for an eye test. It’s been 4 years since my last one and my glasses (also 4 years old) are slightly worse for wear. My prescription hasn’t changed any, but I got some new frames and now they don’t keep sliding down my nose. Win.
The optometrist also told me that I’m suffering from ‘allergies’. This explains the blisters I keep getting on my eye balls (which are a little uncomfortable). I’ve been recommended Opticrom which I picked up this morning. I’ll be putting that in 2-3 times a day and seeing if it improves things for me.
ION, ‘/home’ filled up on kandy.downagain.com today and made me glad I’d used LVM2 to manage my partitions. One quick unmount, lvextend, e2fsck and resize2fs later, and I’ve got another 30Gb there. I also took the opportunity to set up nightly backups. I really must take up an external drive to copy the data on to.
Finally, I’d like to give my thanks to the Bank of England for the 0.25% increase in interest rates; I thought my mortgage payments were too low, now they’re rectified that. Woo.
These few hex numbers: ’09 F9 11 02 9D 74 E3 5B D8 41 56 C5 63 56 88 C0′ as what’s needed to decrypt and play, on linux, all the HD-DVD films released so far.
Apparently the number is copyright. Interesting. I wonder if I could copyright my passwords and then take legal action against anyone who uses them? :)
